Prosecutors say a Delaware man charged with faking his way into Harvard was accepted at Stanford University in California after he was kicked out of the Ivy League school.
Court documents filed Wednesday in the case of Adam Wheeler say that after his expulsion last fall from Harvard, he applied and was accepted to Stanford for the 2010-2011 school year.
The documents were filed as Wheeler's lawyer appeared in Middlesex Superior Court for a pretrial conference.
State prosecutors say in the documents that the 23-year-old also applied to other schools including Yale and Brown after being kicked out of Harvard.
Wheeler, who was not at the hearing, has pleaded not guilty to larceny, identity fraud and other charges and is being held on $5,000 bail.
